PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ A MESSAGE FROM FR. DAN

03/22/22

My dear Parishioners,
These are trying days we find ourselves in. Our Christian response must be based in Holy Scripture.

2 Chronicles7:14
'If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.'

Let use this time to beg the mercy of God upon our land, and forgive the sins we, as a nation, have committed, and pray and do penance for the conversion of poor sinners.

During this time I am so grateful to so many parishioners who have stopped by the Rectory, or dropped in the collection box their weekly Offerings. May God richly bless you for your sacrificial gift.
Even though public Mass is suspended, the financial needs of the Parish still press upon us.

Lastly, Mass is offered every day on our face book page, and all the reserved intentions are being satisfied. We are daily meeting the needs of the sick, and ministering to the needy in our community. On Fri and Sat evening, and Sunday morning, during the stated hours. I am available for Confession.

Please remember every day that the great Lenten fast continues, and please say the Holy Rosay every day.

God bless, your friend and pastor,
Fr. Dan

PLEASE NOTE: FATHER DAN IS NOT TEXTING PEOPLE ASKING THEM TO REPLY

We received a message from someone who received a text message from a scammer claiming to be Father Dan Hesko. THIS IS NOT A TEXT COMING FROM FATHER DAN. It is a scam. This has happened before and once you engage conversation the scammer will ask you to purchase gift cards and send the gift card number to them through the text. DO NOT DO THAT! If you ever receive a message and are unsure that it has come from Father Dan Hesko or St. Catherine's Church, PLEASE take the safe route and contact the church directly at 732-787-1318 or message us.

News from the Diocese

In a new statement issued May 15, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., announced his approval of a set of directives that give permission for outdoor “in car” Masses according to good pastoral judgement of parish pastors. The announcement follows N.J. Gov. Phil Murphy’s Executive Order 142 stipulating that car gatherings for a number of purposes, including religious services, do not violate the state’s ban on gatherings. The statement and directives are available by clicking here
