Directives from the Bishop for Limited in Church Masses & Sacraments

New liturgical and pastoral directives during the COVID-19 pandemic, including limited “in church” weekend Masses beginning June 13-14, with Mass schedules to be determined by pastors. The bishop's announcement  and complete list of directives can be read on the diocesan website here: https://dioceseoftrenton.org/news/dates-announced-for-limited-in-church-masses-sacraments.

Those who are frightened, those with a COVID-19 diagnosis or symptoms, those who may be asymptomatic carriers, those not feeling well, those with underlying health conditions or those in a high-risk category should avoid public gatherings of any kind whether indoors or outdoors.

Bishop O'Connell announces approval of 'in car' Masses, distribution of Eucharist

In a new statement issued May 15, Bishop David M. O’Connell, C.M., announced his approval of a set of directives that give permission for outdoor “in car” Masses according to good pastoral judgement of parish pastors. The announcement follows N.J. Gov. Phil Murphy’s Executive Order 142 stipulating that car gatherings for a number of purposes, including religious services, do not violate the state’s ban on gatherings. The statement and directives are available by clicking here

As you are aware, we are permitted to return to a limited schedule in the parish. We are happy to welcome you back and open our church doors once again to the community for Mass and the Sacraments beginning June 8, 2020.

The Weekly Mass Schedule is revised slightly so please update your schedules. The 6:30 and 12 o’clock Masses will be re-introduced at a later date. Please continue to check the website and bulletin for updated information and schedules.

Confessions are heard on Saturdays at 3pm. Baptisms and Weddings must be arranged through the Parish Office as usual.

There are specific guidelines set forth by the diocese that can be found below. Please read through them.

Since there are no papers or books permitted to be distributed or used during any liturgy, we invite you to print the Sunday Mass Readings, Responses, and Songs and bring these with you to refer to. You can bring a Sunday Missal (CCD Students received Sunday Missals they can bring to follow the Mass), or you may also choose to bring your SILENCED phone or tablet to follow along directly from our website using your data plan (preferred method), or our guest wifi will be setup inside the church this week ("Parish Mass” Network with password “Catherine” specific instructions will be posted on our website). There will be a link on the top of our homepage that will take you right to the current Sunday Mass Program each week. Novena Prayers for Monday and Saturday Novenas can be followed the same way - printed directly from our website or printed and brought with you.
