Obituary
Michele Ann (Woods) Pfleger of Middletown, NJ passed away with her family at her side Sunday morning at Riverview Medical Center in Red bank after a 5-year battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore, MD, and a communicant of St. Catherine’s Church in North Middletown, she enjoyed her church and the healing masses at St. Mary’s Church in New Monmouth.
She was employed as a home health aide for general and hospice patients and enjoyed making her patients feel better. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, shopping, and walking on the beach. She was a life member of the Holmdel First Aid Squad, where she met her husband of 38 wonderful years, Robert Pfleger II.
She is predeceased by her father, Joseph Woods.
Michele is survived by her husband, Robert Pfleger II; sons Robert Pfleger III (Middletown) and Patrick and his girlfriend Hannah (Woodbridge); mother Maxine Woods (Middletown); sisters Melinda Lapert (Texas), Maureen (Florida), and brother Michael (Florida), and a large and loving family of in-laws, especially her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Thursday March 16th from 4pm - 8pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Rd.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 17th at 10:30am at The Church of Saint Catherine Laboure, 110 Bray Ave.
She will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery following the service.
